- Ashley Durham was born and raised as a small town girl in west Tennessee where everyone knew everyone, all directions given within the town start at THE stop-light and southern “home-cookin’ ” is an everyday thing. Durham loved Adamsville but itched to go to a big city, although it meant she would be away from her group of friends she had grown up with. An internship at a teen fashion magazine (Justine) led her to the decision to attend college at the University of Memphis. Durham recently moved to Memphis in the fall of 2008 to start her first year of college. She plans to obtain a Bachelors of Arts with a major in Journalism and a concentration in Public Relations. She hopes to use her major to go into Fashion Journalism. She is involved in organizations on campus such as, Up Til’ Dawn and Alpha Gamma Delta. Durham is very strong in her faith and loves God. She also believes everything happens for a reason. In the little spare time she has, she enjoys reading, taking pictures, gymnastics and dancing.
